Cancellation Policy

1. Business information
This Cancellation Policy applies to public fish picnic tours operated for Jelen Fish Picnic Mimice by:

2. When this policy applies
This policy applies to confirmed public tour bookings. A booking request that has not yet been accepted or paid is not a confirmed booking.
Cancellation times are based on Croatian local time. A cancellation is considered received when Jelen receives the cancellation message by email, WhatsApp, phone, or another communication method confirmed by Jelen.
3. Guest cancellations
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours before departure, but no later than 22:00 on the day before the tour, are eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made on the day of the tour are not eligible for a refund.
No-shows and late arrivals are not eligible for a refund.
4. Late arrivals and no-shows
Guests must arrive on time at the agreed departure location. Since this is a public tour, Jelen cannot guarantee that the boat can wait for individual groups.
If you are running a few minutes late, contact us immediately by phone or WhatsApp. If you contact us, the crew may be able to hold the boat for a maximum of 10 minutes, but this is not guaranteed and depends on the captain’s decision, the group, the route, safety, and operational conditions.
If you do not contact us, or if you arrive too late for the departure, the boat may depart on schedule and the booking may be treated as a no-show.
5. Weather, sea conditions and safety
We do not usually cancel only because of rain, because the seating area is covered. Tours operate unless the captain decides that weather, sea conditions, technical issues, safety conditions, harbour instructions, legal requirements, or operational reasons make the trip unsafe or unsuitable.
The captain has final authority over departure, route, timing, safety, and whether the tour can operate.
6. If Jelen cancels the tour
If Jelen cancels a confirmed public tour due to weather, sea conditions, safety, technical issues, operational reasons, or another reason caused by Jelen, guests may choose either a full refund or transfer to another available date.
If the tour is rescheduled and the guest accepts the new date, the booking will apply to the new date.
7. Route, timing or stop changes
Reasonable route, timing, swimming stop, harbour, or destination changes made for safety, weather, sea conditions, technical, legal, or operational reasons do not automatically create a right to a refund if the tour still takes place.
8. Refund method and processing time
Approved refunds are returned using the same payment method where possible. Refund processing time may depend on the payment provider, card issuer, bank, or other payment service involved.
Jelen is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, or payment providers after a refund has been initiated.
9. Private tours
Private tour cancellations may follow different terms agreed in writing at the time of booking. If no separate private tour cancellation terms are agreed, Jelen will apply a fair cancellation arrangement based on the date, group size, preparation costs, and operational circumstances.
10. Consumer withdrawal right
Public and private boat tours are leisure activities provided for a specific date or period. Because of this, the usual 14-day consumer withdrawal right for distance purchases may not apply once a dated booking is confirmed. The cancellation and refund rules in this policy apply to confirmed dated bookings.
